Back to Series Page
A course built for bike specialists, the final North American World Cup stop mixes plenty of tech with a Full Distance course designed to carry speed through every section.

Set in Empire 47, one of the largest mountain bike centres in eastern North America, the venue offers over 75 kilometres of purpose-built trails for the race directors to work with. Since the first shovels of dirt were turned in 2013, it has become the epicentre of XTERRA Québec—and now, for the second year running, a World Cup stop that will see the best of the best take on some of the fastest-flowing trails of the series. In a sport designed to pit mountain bikers against triathletes, this is a course that puts bike power and skill front and centre.

Felix Forissier comes in three for three in Full Distance racing as he looks to reclaim the golden jersey from his elder brother Arthur, who currently leads the series. He’ll face stiff competition from strong riders like Ben Forbes and Kieran McPherson, both eager to take full advantage of this biker’s course. Alizée Paties will break her perfect run as she sits this one out, leaving a tough battle to unfold between the likes of Marta Menditto, Maeve Kennedy, Emma Ducreux, and local racer Katie Button.

After the mid-season reset, this is where the World Cup picks up again—to see who still has the power and speed as the series heads into its second half.

Athletes To Watch
Top contenders, local favorites and the full start list.
Felix Forissier
FRA
Having stood only on the top two steps of the podium in all his races this season, Forissier is on a tear. After missing the first stop in Australia, the reigning World Cup champ is well on his way to reclaiming the golden jersey.
Arthur Forissier
FRA
The current World Cup leader heads to Quebec to defend his place at the top of the table. The elder Forissier brother races with control and precision, and with the golden jersey on his shoulders, all eyes will be on him to defend it.
Sebastian Neef
DEU
The breakout star of the men’s field this season, Neef has been up front with the chase pack since Australia and claimed his first World Cup podium in Oak Mountain. Sitting third overall, the German powerhouse will be eyeing another big result in Quebec.
Kieran Mcpherson
NZL
Fresh off a win at XTERRA Lory, McPherson is race ready and knows how to deliver when it counts. After finishing 5th on this course last year, expect him to push hard at the front for a shot at the podium this time around.
Michele Bonacina
ITA
With a strong start in Australia and steady performances throughout, Bonacina is holding on to second place as the series enters its second half. A few races didn’t go his way early on, but expect the Italian to bounce back strong in Quebec.
Katie Button
CAN
Racing on home soil for her second World Cup appearance this season, Button will have the crowd behind her as she tackles a course that plays to her mountain biking roots. Expect her to feed off the energy and push for a strong result in Quebec.
Marta Menditto
ITA
A model of consistency, Menditto has already claimed four podiums this season—two of them on the World Cup stage. Currently sitting second in the standings, she’ll be looking to close the gap on her teammate in Quebec.
Maeve Kennedy
AUS
The reigning APAC Champion returns to racing for the first time since her standout performance in Australia. With fresh legs and proven form, Kennedy will be looking to bring Australian firepower to the front of the race in Quebec.
Emma Ducreux
FRA
Fresh off a silver in Colombia and a well-earned gold in Belgium, Ducreux’s season is trending in the right direction—with plenty of racing still to come. With momentum on her side, she’ll be one to watch as the second half of the series kicks off.

WORLD CUP Series Info
The XTERRA World Cup is the world's premier off-road triathlon pro series, where the sport’s top elites go head-to-head in a condensed circuit of Full Distance and Short Track races. A points-based battle where every turn, climb, and descent matters, each race is a fight for a share of the series prize purse and the pursuit of becoming the next XTERRA World Cup Champion.

The 2025 World Cup will feature eight stops and 11 races across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America. With no joker rule in play, every race counts toward the overall standings. Full Distance races award series points to the top 30 finishers, with the winner claiming 100 points. Short Track races are invitation-only, featuring the top 30 qualifiers, with the winner earning the maximum 75 points.

The Short Track showdown in Trentino, Italy, will serve as the series finale, where the next XTERRA World Cup Champions will be crowned ahead of the 2025 XTERRA World Championship.
