A course built for bike specialists, the final North American World Cup stop mixed plenty of tech with a Full Distance course designed to carry speed through every section.

Set in Empire 47, one of the largest mountain bike centres in eastern North America, the venue offered over 75 kilometres of purpose-built trails for the race directors to work with. Since the first shovels of dirt were turned in 2013, it has become the epicentre of XTERRA Québec—and in 2025, for the second year running, it marked the final World Cup stop in North America before the pro series headed into the final stretch in Europe.

A strong men’s field was led by Felix Forissier, coming in on a three-race win streak and looking to edge his way closer to the golden jersey currently held by his older brother. For the women, Alizée Paties chose to rest and recover during this stop after winning every race in the series so far, leaving a battle between Marta Menditto, Emma Ducreux, and Hannah-Lee Young to play out as they looked to close the gap at the top of the leaderboard.

After the mid-season reset, this was where the World Cup picked up again—to see who still had the power and speed as the series headed into its second half.

Felix Forissier and Marta Menditto Set the Pace in Quebec

Absolutely no momentum lost over the mid-season break. World Cup racing returned at full speed on the fast-flowing trails of Empire 47, with Felix Forissier and Marta Menditto each claiming a vital win and 100 series points in Quebec. Felix needed just 2:31:17 to take the men’s title, while Marta sealed the women’s race in 2:59:33. With just two Full Distance and two Short Track races remaining, the pro series now heads into the final straight—through Czech, Germany, and the ultimate showdown in Molveno.

WORLD CUP Series Info
The XTERRA World Cup is the world's premier off-road triathlon pro series, where the sport’s top elites go head-to-head in a condensed circuit of Full Distance and Short Track races. A points-based battle where every turn, climb, and descent matters, each race is a fight for a share of the series prize purse and the pursuit of becoming the next XTERRA World Cup Champion.

The 2025 World Cup will feature eight stops and 11 races across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America. With no joker rule in play, every race counts toward the overall standings. Full Distance races award series points to the top 30 finishers, with the winner claiming 100 points. Short Track races are invitation-only, featuring the top 30 qualifiers, with the winner earning the maximum 75 points.

The Short Track showdown in Trentino, Italy, will serve as the series finale, where the next XTERRA World Cup Champions will be crowned ahead of the 2025 XTERRA World Championship.
