1. XTERRA PORTUGAL is an organization of the Núcleo do Sporting Clube de Portugal da Golegã in partnership with the Município da Golegã, with the technical support of the Portuguese Triathlon Federation (FTP).
2. XTERRA PORTUGAL consists of MTB Triathlon events that will take place in the Equuspolis area in Golegã on May 31st and June 1st, 2025.
3. XTERRA PORTUGAL is the third event that counts towards the National Cross Club Championship and the XTERRA EMEA, also counting towards the National Individual Cross Triathlon Championship.

4. XTERRA YOUTH is the third stage of the National Youth Championship

5. XTERRA Sprint is an open race over the sprint distance
|
6. The XTERRA events will take place in the Equuspolis area in Golegã.

7. Participation in the XTERRA Portugal events is open to all interested parties, in accordance with the following precepts:

8. Registration for XTERRA Portugal, including for FTP licensed athletes, must be made via the website https://www.xterraplanet.com/event/xterra-portugal, in the National Triathlon Club Championship tab until 11:59 pm on May 17 (Saturday):
9. Registration fees are as shown in the table below until May 17th.

10. The registration fees for the RELAYS are as shown in the table below.

11. Payment for registration fees can be settled until 11:59 pm on May 18th (Sunday).
12. Registrations after the registration deadline (May 17) will be accepted, upon payment of an additional fee, according to the table presented below.

13. Registrations made after this deadline may be made on the day of the test at the Secretariat, subject to the additional payment established in the table presented in the previous point.
14. For participation purposes, only paid registrations will be considered.
15. Registration for the XTERRA Portugal events includes:
■ Participation and classification in the test;
■ Supplies (solid and liquid);
■ Personal accident insurance.

17. Failure to return or non-accidental damage to the Chip will result in the athlete paying €60.

23. The payment methods for registrations for the XTERRA Jovem events are as follows:
■ Multibanco Reference (valid for 48 hours after registering for the desired event on the Portuguese Triathlon Federation website);
■ MB WAY;
■ Cash, exclusively for late registrations made at the Secretariat on the day and location of the test.
24. For participation purposes, only paid registrations will be considered.
25. Registration for the XTERRA Jovem events includes:
■ Participation and classification in the test;

27. In the event of any of the identifying elements being missing (bib number, bike number or chip), athletes may compete upon payment of a non-refundable fee of €3.00 (per element).

Cancellation Policy
36. In case of cancellation of the race for reasons not attributable to the organization (Case of force majeure) the athletes' registration will be automatically transferred to the 2026 edition.
37. In the event of cancellation or transfer of the event for reasons attributable to the organization, athletes will have their registration refunded in full.
38. If, due to the athlete's desire or impossibility, he does not attend the race, or even if he informs the organization in advance of his non-appearance, his registration will not be transferred to a future edition, nor will he be entitled to any refund!
RELAYS - XTERRA PORTUGAL
They will be made up of groups of 2 or 3 participants, who will complete the three segments (swimming/cycling/running) of XTERRA Portugal in the Relay format, in their entirety, with the one who completes the race counting towards the classification.
39. Participation in XTERRA Portugal events is based on the age groups and categories defined in these Regulations, according to the athletes' year of birth.

DESCRIPTION OF XTERRA PORTUGAL ROUTES
40. Participants in the XTERRA Portugal races will cover the following routes in each segment of the respective race:

TEST TIME LIMIT - CUT-OFF
41. Is there a time limit or Cut-Off for the Cycling segment.
42. The deadline for finishing the cycling segment is 2:25 pm.
43. Once the time limit has elapsed, the athlete will be disqualified and will not be able to finish the event in which he/she is participating.
44. The XTERRA Portugal events include refueling at the following locations:

45. In the Recovery Zone there will be liquid and solid supplies (water and fruit), in the remaining locations sealed bottles of water will be made available.
46. The rules in force in the Technical and Competition Regulations (RTC) of the Portuguese Triathlon Federation are adopted, and it is the responsibility of the athletes to know and respect them, as well as to follow the instructions of the referees and those responsible for the event. The current RTC can be consulted on the Triathlon Federation website, at the linkhttp://www.federacao-triatlo.pt/ftp2015/a-federacao/estatutos/.
47. BODY MARKING- At XTERRA Portugal, body marking is MANDATORY, with the frontal number visible on both arms; (numbers in the form of a tattoo to be provided by the Organization)
48. Participation in the event must be covered by sports insurance as provided for by law (Personal Accidents).
49. The main rules to be taken into account are presented in the following table;

50. The XTERRA events will have classifications defined in the table presented below.
|
* The collective classification is made by adding the times of the first three athletes of each team, in the male gender, and the first three athletes of each team in the female gender.
|

51. The collective classification of the Regional Youth Championship is carried out by the sum of the points obtained by all athletes in competition according to Table II of Annex F of the Technical Regulations for Competitions.
52. Protests/complaints may be made by all sports agents directly involved, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 11 of the Technical Regulations and Competitions and also taking into account the following:
■ Protests must be made in writing, on the form provided by the Team Chief Referee and delivered to him/her in accordance with the deadlines established in the Technical and Competition Regulations, accompanied by a fee of €25.00; The Team Chief Referee must sign the Protest form, noting the time of receipt.
■ The decision is made by the members of the Competition Jury, who will each have one vote. The majority will determine whether the protest is rejected or accepted. If the protest is accepted, the fee of €25.00 will be refunded.
53. The Competition Jury is made up of three elements:
■ President: Technical Delegate of the event;
■ Member: Representative of the Portuguese Triathlon Federation;
■ Member: Representative of the Local Organizer.
54. The Competition Jury deliberates on all protests duly presented to the Chief Referee. The resolution of any protest must be communicated to the Chief Referee so that he can inform the interested party and modify the results if necessary.
55. The clubs, entities that register them or the athlete themselves will be responsible for the physical fitness of the athletes. The Organization will not be held responsible for any accidents that may occur before, during or after the event. Measures will be taken to provide effective assistance during the event.
56. The athlete undertakes to respect the instructions of the members of the Organization placed along the race routes.
57. There are control zones for the passage of athletes, and those who do not complete the entire course of the race will be disqualified.
58. The changing rooms for athletes are located at the Golegã Camping Park
59. The bike route will be marked the week before the race, please note that part of the race will take place on the land of the Paúl do Boquilobo Nature Reserve, which is off-limits.
60. Any cases not covered by the Portuguese Triathlon Federation Regulations will be resolved by the Technical Delegate.
