Run northeastward along trail 1, passing the Nature Center. Shortly after one mile, stay right to enter the lollipop loop part of the course. There are two notable hills named Steamboat Hill (which has steps going up), and Vargo Hill, just after the aid station. At about mile 3, a right turn puts runners back on the outbound trail for two-way traffic. Finish under the DINO archway.
