Now firmly established as a key part of the XTERRA World Championship, the Super Sprint Triathlon sees the world’s top qualifying Youth A athletes compete for championship titles on the same stage as the heroes who inspire them. From the clear waters of Grindstone Lake to the rolling trails beneath the Sierra Blanca range, this is where the next generation of champions rise—racing with purpose, pride, and the world watching on as the next Youth A World Champions are crowned.

What's included in my registration fee?

On top of getting the opportunity to race alongside top Youth A athletes from around the globe, the entry fee includes:

  • athlete race packet (bibs, bike plate, tattoos, swim cap, timing chip)

  • athlete swag (including finisher medal)

  • premium race event experience

  • professional medical support on course and at the finish

  • access to swim, bike, and run clinics

What is the Sprint Distance Triathlon Deferral/Refund Policy?

All registration fees for the XTERRA Youth World Championship are non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to withdrawal, disqualification, or cancellation of the event.

Deferrals for medical reasons will be considered, but not guaranteed. Email a written request to info@xterraplanet.com with your name, event name, and reason for the request, accompanied by a doctor’s note detailing injury/illness.

Please note that athletes who have already deferred from a previous year are not eligible for another deferral; these cannot be extended again.

HOW TO QUALIFY

This race is part of the new XTERRA Youth World Championship program and is a qualification-only race open to the Youth A (14-15 yrs. old). You can read more about the XTERRA Youth World Championship Qualification on this page.

We will be following the USAT Rules for the 2026 XTERRA World Championship.

TRIATHLON SUITS / UNIFORM

For all age group athletes, there are no strict rules regarding uniforms. However, elite athletes will follow the World Triathlon Guidelines regarding uniform. 


AID STATIONS

Competitors are encouraged to be responsible for their own hydration during the race (ie. bring your own bike bottles and hydration packs).

Water, energy bars, gels & isotonic drinks will be available on the course.
