On the occasion of XTERRA Lake Scanno 2025, the Amateur Sports Association “x-tribe” is organizing the XTERRA LAKE SCANNO 2025 OPEN WATER SWIM on Sunday, July 27, 2025. This event is the 5th stage of the Adriatic Open Water Circuit and is sponsored by UISP.
This is a non-competitive event featuring:
OPEN WATER SWIM 1500 M for athletes aged 18 and up
500 M for athletes aged 14 to 17
TEAM TIME TRIAL OPEN WATER SWIM 1500 M, mixed teams of 3 swimmers, with a time-trial start on an approximate 1500 m course for athletes aged 16 and up

3. DATE, VENUE AND EVENT SCHEDULE
The event will take place at Lake Scanno in the Municipality of Scanno, near Hotel Garni del Lago on Viale del Lago, on Sunday, July 27, 2025.
Event secretariat, start and finish briefings, and award ceremonies will take place from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

4. REGISTRATION AND ENTRY FEE
The event is open to male and female participants, including foreign nationals. All participants will be UISP-registered and must provide a valid competitive swimming medical certificate.
Maximum number of participants: 300, including all categories and distances.
Online registration opens on June 6, 2025.
Online registration closes on July 22, 2025, or earlier if maximum capacity is reached.
Payment via credit card is required for online registrations. Bank transfers are accepted only in specific cases as detailed on the ENDU portal.
On-site registration and payment by cash or card may be allowed if spots are still available.
If spots are available after online registration closes, the Organizer may extend the registration deadline.

5. HOW TO REGISTER

6. EVENT SCHEDULE
8:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Race kit, swim cap, and chip collection
10:00 AM: Technical briefing
10:30 AM: 1500 m Open Water Swim start (60-min limit)
11:30 AM: 500 m Under 17 race start (40-min limit)
12:30 PM: Team Swim Experience start (time-trial)
1:30 PM onwards: Pasta party
7. COURSE AND SUPPORT
The course and details will be explained during the briefing. The Organizer reserves the right to modify the course.
Start is in-water. Teams and athletes will start behind the designated line. Start signal will be a horn.
Safety will be provided by jet skis, rescue boats, SUP boards, and canoes. An ambulance will be on-site.
Athletes in difficulty must raise an arm and shout for help.
Course marshals will monitor correct course completion and adherence to rules.
The finish line is marked by the ZOGGS arch on land.
Time limits:
1500 m: 60 minutes
500 m: 40 minutes
After the limit, remaining swimmers will be guided and potentially rescued by safety boats.
8. TECHNICAL REGULATIONS
Mass start for individual races; triangular course for 1500 m, straight course for 500 m.
Age group rankings in line with UISP classifications.
Under 17 (2009-2011): 500 m
Under 20 (2006-2008): 1500 m
M20 (20-24), M25 (25-29), M30 (30-34), M35 (35-39), M40 (40-44), M45 (45-49), M50 (50-54), M55 (55-59), M60 (60-64), M65 (65-69), M70 (70-74), M75 (75-79), M80 (80-84)
Team race: Time-trial start. Teams of 3 must start and finish together. Final time is that of the last team member crossing the finish. Team building (drafting, group swimming) is encouraged.
Allowed gear: wetsuit, swim cap, goggles, nose clips, ear plugs.
Prohibited gear: fins, snorkels, or any equipment deemed to provide undue advantage.
Prohibited actions:
Interfering with or obstructing other athletes
Touching, being towed by, or leaning on fixed or floating objects
Swimming with non-participating swimmers or unauthorized boats
Mandatory:
Event swim cap and timing chip (to be worn at all times and returned post-race).
Athlete Responsibility: each swimmer participates at their own risk, decides whether to stop, and must safeguard their belongings. Organizers are not responsible for accidents, injuries, weather conditions, or property loss. Athletes must respect the environment; waste pollution will result in sanctions.
Course cutting (skipping official buoys) leads to disqualification, recorded by marshals.
9. RESULTS AND AWARDS
Athletes finishing within the time limits will be ranked in the official results posted on the event website.
Prizes:
Top 3 male and female overall in 1500 m, 500 m, and 3-swimmer team categories.
Awards at Lake Scanno at 2:30 PM.
10. BAG STORAGE
Bag deposit available for athletes in the designated area.
11. FACILITIES
Toilets, showers, and changing rooms available at the lakefront meadows.
12. LIABILITY
Athletes participate at their own risk. The Organizer disclaims all responsibility for damage, theft, or loss to persons or property during the event.
By registering, athletes accept these regulations in full and acknowledge personal responsibility for ensuring proper registration (payment + medical certificate).

13. OFFICIAL COMMUNICATIONS
Official updates will be posted on the event website and/or social media. Athletes are responsible for staying informed.
14. IMAGE RIGHTS
By registering, athletes authorize the Organizer to capture, reproduce, publish, and use their images in any medium worldwide, without time limits, for promotional or advertising purposes. Athletes waive all claims for compensation. Official photos will be announced later; the Organizer is not liable for photos not taken or of poor quality.
