This is last year's race marking and this year's 2025 route should be similar. Note we avoid the North West Coast of Gozo to avoid passing through hunting areas, as the season is still open.

Below please find a 'how to' video to upload the GPX file on your Garmin Malta device, or you can use Strava on your phones as a backup.

Follow the Facebook event for route updates which might vary due to some changes made by land owners and hunters as well as natural changes in the landscape. Pay attention to the race briefing before the race, for updated notes after the course has been marked.

In contracts, World Championship races are open only to athletes who have earned a qualifying slot at an XTERRA event. These participants compete for the World Champion title, prize money, and are invited to exclusive awards and dinner functions. Additionally, World Championship participants have an option to choose to start from a priority zone, giving them an advantage in start position and timing.
