How do I get there, and where can I stay?

Kurort Oybin is located in the heart of the Zittau Mountains Natural Park. The start and finish area is in Puschpark/Bürgerallee in the centre of the village. There is a car park in the immediate vicinity as well as gastronomic facilities, hotels, B&Bs and an excellent leisure infrastructure. Note: The tourist information office of the municipality of Oybin will assist you in finding accommodation if required

Timing / Evaluation

Timing is done with an electronic timing system contactlessly with a transponder, which is integrated in the start number. Only the timekeeping of the organiser is valid for the results!

GPS Tracking

All O-SEE 65k, O-SEE 50k and O-SEE 25k participants will be provided with a small GPS tracker device at the check-in in the start and finish area. The tracker must be worn during the entire race and returned after crossing the finish line.

In the case of abandonment of the race, the GPS tracker and the start number must be handed in at a respective refreshment point. In the event of non-return or damage of the GPS tracker, the participant will be invoiced for the amount of € 100.

Route markings

The routes are marked. However, markings may be missing or changed by rain, wind, vandalism or order-loving fellow citizens. It is recommended that all trail run participants carry a GPX-enabled phone or navigation watch with the track/route data of the respective route stored. The participant should be able to find the route even in the absence of markers.

The XTERRA Trail Run World Series connects the entire trail running community through a global rankings system, regional championships, and for those who qualify - the XTERRA Trail Run World Championship. Following a similar system to the esteemed XTERRA Triathlon Series, each race in Trail Run World Series will provide a limited number of slots that will allow the top runners in each age group to qualify for the annual, invite-only XTERRA Trail Run World Championship. During the season, there will also be three regional championship races to determine the XTERRA Champion of the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific regions.

What are the rules for "Duo Category"?

For the duo category, participants may start at the same time as the individual competitors, but must finish within 30” of each other in order to qualify for the Trail Run World Series points system or championship slots. Additionally, Duo Teams must pass all checkpoints within 30” of each other and remain visually within 10 meters of each other throughout the race. Duo Teams are allowed to connect to each other via a racing leash/bungee cord to ensure they remain within the required distance throughout the race.
