About the National Forest Foundation

National Forest Foundation volunteers

As the nonprofit partner of the U.S. Forest Service, National Forest Foundation works with the agency and thousands of Americans each year to promote the health and public enjoyment of our 193-million-acre National Forest System.

These lands are the foundation of America’s outdoor recreation heritage and sustain our way of life. They provide water to millions of Americans in thousands of communities, clean our air, store carbon, and provide timber, minerals, oil and gas and other resources for industry and communities.
