WHAT: XTERRA Fort Yargo

XTERRA Fort Yargo is held on of the most popular trail systems in the area and will take place on Saturday, April 27th, 2019 at Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, Georgia (just on the outskirts of Atlanta). The race will start off with a 1/2 mile swim on the beautiful lake that is the centerpiece of the park and then will hit the bike trails with a 10-mile challenging course followed by a 5 mile run on that uses many of the same trails and ends up back at the start finish area.

Schedule of Events
Friday, April 26th

All participants must present a picture ID plus either a current valid USAT license or purchase a temporary one day USAT license at registration for $15.
USAT rules state that competitors may wear wetsuits if the water temperature is 78 degrees or lower. USAT rules also state that if the water temperature is between 78.1 - 83.9 degrees, competitors may wear wetsuits but will not be eligible for awards. If the water temperature is 84 degrees or above, participants may not wear wetsuits.
Water temperature will be tested on race morning.
Pre-entry deadline of 10pm Eastern time on Thursday before event = $60 Individual / $120 Relay Team Day of entries are accepted but $10 late fee applies.
Course Info - XTERRA Triathlon
Distances: .5 Mile Swim | 10 Mile Mountain Bike | 5 Mile Trail Run
The swim course will start and finish on the west side of the lake, the first time taken will be after transition to the bike leg. The bike leg will begin as the riders leave the transition and head out to the bike trails following the "Blue" XTERRA arrows and then return to the finish line area and then into transition. The run will follow a similar route as the bikes for the first half of the course "Red" arrows and will include numerous turns through the trails and then will break out on to the hiking trail to complete the course back to the start finish.
