There aren’t too many trail runs that can be described as “an urban adventure,” but that is just what the XTERRA Richmond Trail Run offers. The course takes runners through many challenges in and around the city of Richmond, including crossings of the James River and several climbs up and down stairs, bridges and forest hills.
All age-group winners for the 21K course will receive a free entry to the XTERRA Trail Run World Championship
in Hawaii in December. There is also a 10K course that is nicknamed “The Fugitive 10K” because of its similarity to some of the chase scenes in the movie “The Fugitive,” including river crossings, rock jumpings, and a section that passes train tracks.
