200 TERRANCE DRIVE , PELHAM , AL, USVIEW RESULTS
The XTERRA Oak Mountain Trail Runs truly has something for everyone. Long-distance runners can choose to race on a half-marathon (20K) course. Others can opt to participate in the 10K and 5K races. All three courses will take place on the award-winning trails at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama. Trail Runner magazine ranked Oak Mountain as one of the top 25 “Crown Jewels” of running trails across America in 2011.
All age-group winners for the 20K will receive a free entry to the XTERRA Trail Run World Championship in Hawaii in December. It will also serve as the season finale for the XTERRA Alabama Trail Run Series.
Note: Event t-shirts are guaranteed for all athletes registering by April 30. Walk-ups and registrations after May 1 are not guaranteed a t-shirt. You must be present to receive awards.
XTERRA OAK MOUNTAIN TRAIL RUNS 5/10/20KM
Celebrate the healthy, active, outdoors lifestyle with XTERRA while enjoying the great nature trails at Oak Mountain State Park. Take a stroll in the XTERRA 5km run/walk or lace ’em up for the 10km or 20km distance trail runs.
Distance: 1.5km swim / 30km mountain bike / 10km trail run
The race will serve as a qualifier for the 2017 XTERRA World Championship, a gold level XTERRA Pan American Tour stop and a 100-point level XTERRA America Tour championship race.
The event will feature $15,000 USD in prize money for elite athletes, who will compete over a 1.5km swim, 30km mountain bike and 10km trail run. For amateurs, there will be 51 spots into the XTERRA World Championship to be held October 29 in Maui up-for-grabs.

XTERRA Sprint is a shorter distance race with a 750 meter swim, 13K mountain bike and a 5K trail run. Athletes can compete in the XTERRA Sprint race as a team or individual. This race is ideal for newcomers and for people seeking a less-demanding XTERRA experience.
Distance: 200m swim / 10K mountain bike / 2K trail run
XTERRA Xticer races are the perfect introduction to XTERRA.
Get ready to XTERRA with the sport’s best. XTERRA University, presented by Paul Mitchell, offers competitors a chance to take in last-minute advice and pointers from the best off-road multisport athletes in the sport.
The FREE sessions target improved swimming, biking and trail running techniques plus dealing with the specifics of the Pelham course. There will be time for Q & A with the pros during each session. All classes will be held at the race compound at Oak Mountain.
PAUL MITCHELL CUT-A-THON
Paul Mitchell has long put the “Style” in Lifestyle Sports and have been a loyal sponsor of XTERRA for more than a decade. Simply put, the stylists are cool, and with shirts that sport their motto “giving back is the new black” these professionals create the most magnificent cuts for the XTERRA Tribe during our major events.
At the XTERRA Oak Mountain Championship racers, family, friends and spectators will have two chances to get their hair cut by Paul Mitchell stylists.
In exchange for a $15 donation to the non-profit Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) – the official charity of the Paul Mitchell hair-cut-a-thon – you can get your do done right! The CAF was founded to help physically challenged athletes reach their athletic goals. Give back, get styled, Live More.
Take advantage of a rare opportunity at XTERRA Oak Mountain to get a race shot of yourself captured by XTERRA staff photographer extraordinaire Jesse Peters. It’s the first-time ever Jesse has made his XTERRA images available for sale to the public, and you can get a digital download for $5 (lots of other options too).
Join us for an exciting morning of XTERRA racing at XTERRA Oak Mountain. We are looking for people who have a few hours to spare to help with the event. Volunteer Check-In will be at the XTERRA Expo. All volunteers will receive an XTERRA crew support t-shirt, drinks, and lunch.
If interested please email or call the XTERRA Volunteer Coordinator at email@example.com or 808-521-4322. Hope to see you there!
