Get your XTERRA America Tour season started at the 16^th Annual XTERRA REAL Off-Road Triathlon. XTERRA REAL takes place at Granite Beach on Folsom Lake in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada’s just east of Sacramento. The venue is the perfect layout for XTERRA; parking next to transition and expo, swim on the Main Beach, mountain bike loop to the north and run loop to the south. The courses for the mountain bike and run and are smooth, fast, flowy, singletrack through forested oaks, pines, firs and buckeye trees along the shores and rolling hills along Folsom Lake. This is XTERRA, so you can expect the unexpected on the courses with technical sections, sandy patches, rock scrambles, hill climbs and fast descents.

Previous Champions include who’s who of XTERRA including: Jamie Whitmore, Lesley Patterson, Emma Garrad, Melanie McQuaid, Kara LaPoint, Matt Lieto, Ben Hoffman, Brian Astell, Bryce Phinney, Tim Helms, and Matt Balzer. We had had some VIP finishers too; Mike Pigg, Willie Stewart, Bobby McMullen and Whit Raymond. Look for these folks this year; Tim Helms, Nick and Nate Diaz, Courtney Cardenas, Kara LaPoint, Janet Soule and more with athletes from California, Utah, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Idaho and Germany.
