Two of the most exotic destinations on the XTERRA World Tour are coming up with the Rotorua Festival in New Zealand and XTERRA Tahiti in Moorea.
Next stop, the enchanted Whakarewarewa Forest surrounding Lake Tikitapu, home to the 18th annual XTERRA New Zealand off-road triathlon and accompanying sports festival on April 10.
The XTERRA Rotorua Festival attracts thousands of participants for a festive day of races that include family-friendly 5.5, 11, and 21km trail runs, mountain bike races, and short-and-championship distance off-road triathlons. Due to COVID, it’s limited primarily to its own Kiwi countrymen and women, but trust it’ll still to be a massive celebration of the healthy, active, outdoors lifestyle.

Then, on May 22-23, the sixth running of XTERRA Tahiti returns to Moorea, one of the most magical destinations on earth.
After winning the elite women’s race in 2018 Jacqui Allen said, “the majestic island had the most stunning scenery one could ever imagine.”
In addition to adventurous short-and-full distance off-road tris, organizers are hosting the XTERRA Tupuna Moorea 26-mile trail run as part of the new XTERRA Trail Marathon Series.
“We’ll have something for everyone this year with five races that celebrate outdoor sports at its best here in our island paradise in French Polynesia,” said Jean-Michel Monot, president of the club VSOP MozTeam.
