“We’ll continue to be as flexible as we need to be to keep our athletes and communities safe,” said XTERRA Europe director Nico Lebrun.
The first three scheduled events on the 2021 XTERRA European Tour have been postponed due to ongoing coronavirus considerations.
In addition, XTERRA Brazil has changed its date from May 8 to September 4, and XTERRA Quebec moved from July 11 to Aug. 15.
The 2021 XTERRA World Tour got underway February 13 at the XTERRA Wellington Festival in New Zealand. Up next is XTERRA Iceman outside Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, February 27. In March, XTERRA Kenting will proceed as a local, non-elite race, on the south shore of Taiwan as borders are essentially closed for international visitors.
In April, XTERRA will jump back into action in New Zealand at the Rotorua Festival on April 10, followed by another U.S. age group race at XTERRA ATX in Austin, Texas on April 24, then the first XTERRA U.S. elite race at XTERRA Oak Mountain in Shelby County, Alabama on May 8-9.
