David Roche and Megan Roche each captured the titles at the XTERRA Castle Rock 20K on August 5th at Philip S. Miller Park in Castle Rock, Colorado. David won the men's race in 1:15:41. Todd Dill was second in 1:24:03 while Adam Holliday was third for the men in 1:27:26.
Megan won the women's race in 1:24:30. She was also the third overall finisher. Second for the women was Haley Williamson, who finished in 1:34:44, while Adrienne Finch was third in 1:42:45.
"We signed up for the race at the last second," said David. "We heard great things about the race, and we love getting together with our community like this, where we can play hard on the trails and still be home for lunch."

XTERRA Castle Rock also hosted a 10K, 5K, and 3K Kids Run.
Nahavi Mendoza won the 10K in 42:41 while Benjamin Townsend was second in 44:29. Nathaniel Bodnar was third for the men in 46:33. Brier Youngfleish won the 10K for the women and had the third fastest time overall in 45:21. Jessica Burke was second in 46:19 while Amy Dyett was third in 48:13.
Adam Rich won the 5K in 19:12. Ian Padilla was second in 23:50 while Danny Nelson was third in 24:15. For the women, Gina Maldonado took the win in 27:35 while Melanie Nelson was second in 31:19. Molly Padilla was third in 31:34.
