Walker, Romney win XTERRA Victoria 14K

Nick Walker and Patricia Romney captured the titles at the XTERRA Victoria 14K on a beautiful day at Mount Work Regional Park in Victoria, British Columbia on July 7th.

Walker finished the course around Durrance Lake in 1:06:47, which is roughly 7:19 pace. Kris Cottrell was second for the men in 1:10:56, and Willie Rennie was third in 1:11:54.

In the women’s race, Patricia Romney finished in 1:09:58, good for second place overall, covering ground at 7:39 per mile pace. Carley Gering was second in 1:16:10 while Nicki Haugan was third in 1:16:25.

Romney has been a regular on the trails this spring and has had a very successful season. In May, Romney competed in trail races every weekend in distances from 15-25K and won them all.
