On Sunday, June 24th in Bryson City, North Carolina, Margo Pitts and Paul McCall claimed the titles at XTERRA Tsali.

In the women's race Pitts took the tape in 2:02 while Emma Coakley was second in 2:10 and Angie Childre was third in 2:18. Coakley was first out of the water, but Pitts posted the fastest bike and run splits of the day.

“Dang that was a rainy, muddy, puddle fest of a race," said Pitts.  "I was in fourth place coming out of the water again and it took me almost the entire race to catch all of them.”

In the men’s race, Paul McCall won in 1:40 with Will Stacey close behind in second in 1:41. Caleb Baity was third in 1:43.  McCall had the fastest swim split, Adam Werks had the best bike split, and Will Stacey had the fastest run.

McCall was also first out of the water at XTERRA Myrtle Beach, where he finished 6th overall. Baity also won the 3 hours of Tsali solo mountain bike race the day before on June 23rd, making for an impressive double.
