Just a few days before the summer solstice, so celebrate these long hours of daylight at XTERRA Tahoe City.
XTERRA Tahoe City, the XTERRA Tahoe City Sprint, and the XTERRA Tahoe City Duathlon are part of Adventure Sports Week, which takes place from June 15th-24th and includes outdoor adventures, skills clinics, and festivities for the entire family at one of the most beautiful spots on the XTERRA Planet.
On Saturday, June 16th, XTERRA Tahoe City will take you to arguably the clearest, cleanest, and deepest lake in North America - Lake Tahoe – for a two-lap, 1500 meter swim. Tahoe City is also home to some of the area’s most treasured mountain biking trails. On the bike course, you’ll ride 22 miles on some of the country’s most treasured single track and double track, through fields of wildflowers, and along breathtaking vistas. Finally, you’ll get to check out even more of these great trails on the five-mile run.
The XTERRA Tahoe City Sprint consists of a one-lap, 750-meter swim, a 13-mile ride, and a three-mile run. The XTERRA Tahoe City Duathlon is a two-mile run, a 22-mile ride, and another five-mile run.
All races start and finish is at Commons Beach on the shore of Lake Tahoe.
On Wednesday, June 13th at 6:00 PM, the Big Blue Adventure Ambassadors will be leading a pre-run of the XTERRA Tahoe City run course at Commons Beach. It’s open to anyone, whether or not you are racing.
