Run Like a Mother at XTERRA Wawayanda 25K

May. 10, 2018

On Saturday, May 12th, celebrate spring with a 10K, 25K, or 50K on some of the most beautiful trails in the Northeast.

The XTERRA Wawayanda Trail Run at Wawayanda State Park is a magical gem just an hour outside of New York City. Be prepared on this technical course as you will encounter outcroppings of the same tough rock that formed the Big Apple. But have no fear - no matter how far you are in experience and training, there is a distance for you, whether it’s a 10K, 25K, or 50K.

“I love that this run is on Mother’s Day weekend this year,” said race director Denise Mast. “Who’s tougher than a mom? And running these gorgeous trails will be so much more fun than another crowded brunch.”

Charles Brown, the 2017 XTERRA Atlantic Regional 55-59 Champ is heading to New Jersey form Baltimore to do the run.

“Last year was my first full year of trail racing and the XTERRA Atlantic Series was extremely beneficial in helping me develop and expand my skills,” said Brown. “I also headed to Ogden to do the XTERRA Trail Run National Championship, which was awesome! This year, I want to do longer runs and I’m looking forward to running XTERRA Wawayanda. The XTERRA Tribe atmosphere makes these races so special.”
