On Sunday, April 22, XTERRA will connect land and people in both Bear, Delaware and Spicewood, Texas with races ranging from 5K to 21K.
The second race of the XTERRA Atlantic Series takes to the shores of the Chesapeake & Delaware canal for the XTERRA Lums Pond 5 and 12K events. The race will be held on the historic site of ancient Native American hunting camps, old hardwood forests, pristine streams and fresh ponds.
Much further south, below the snow belt, in Spicewood, TX just outside of Austin, the XTERRA ATX Trail Run will challenge runners with 10.5K and 21K distances in Pace Bend Park. The cedar-lined trail system includes limestone outcroppings and ledges, hairpin turns, gravel washes, compressed dirt, and rock paths. This is a fun course with some technical areas including a couple of off-camber vertical stair steps along the trail. The trail is challenging for all levels of runners. XTERRA ATX is the third race of the XTERRA Texas Trail Run Series.
Next up on the XTERRA U.S. Trail Series schedule is another Texas race, the XTERRA Gator Bait 5, 15, and 21K trail runs on April 29th in Huntsville.
