TEAM TV productions of the 2016 XTERRA World Championship, XTERRA Pan America Championship, and XTERRA Adventure Series, along with highlights from the 2017 XTERRA European Tour Championship events will be broadcast on the BIKE Channel this season.
BIKE Channel is available in more than 19 million homes in the UK through Sky channel 464, Virgin Media channel 552 and Freesat channel 251, and in 4.9 million homes in Italy.
Produced by TEAM TV, the XTERRA Adventure Series, Pan American, and World Championship shows are executive produced by Tom Kiely, and narrated by triathlon-legend Whit Raymond.
“This distribution agreement is a big win for XTERRA, and truly great news for our passionate and rapidly expanding fan base and athletes in Europe,” said Kiely, the CEO of TEAM Unlimited.
ICARUS Sports, the TV distribution partners for XTERRA in Europe, announced the agreement earlier this week.
“We are really ramping up our production and distribution of cycling events,” said Jason Georgaris, ICARUS Sports' Chief Executive Officer, “and our partnership with The BIKE Channel links in to our appointment as a distribution partner for these XTERRA events, as well as being the distribution partner for the XTERRA European Tour.”
The new distribution stream complements XTERRA’s existing U.S. distribution that includes airings on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, and FOX Sports Network, it’s international programming with ESPN stations in Oceania, Canada, Latin America, Japan, and the Caribbean, as well as its online distribution with Amazon Prime TV.
