RVA More Making Richmond Trails Better

RVA MORE, the Richmond, Virginia based Mid-Atlantic Off Road Enthusiasts volunteer organization dedicated to improving the state of mountain biking in the Greater Richmond Virginia area, has done it again.

Last weekend, with the help of 30 people, they built 300-feet of new trail heading east from the 22nd Street tower.

According to this article from RichmondOutside.com, “the new trail will make it possible to ride on dirt from 22nd Street directly to Railroad Avenue behind the SunTrust Building that stands guard over the foot bridge leading to the Manchester Wall overlook.”

This section is part of XTERRA’s annual off-road triathlon and trail running races, which will be held for the 17th straight year in Richmond this June 13-14.  The new section will eliminate the need for runners to come-up to Riverside Drive, and make some of the best trails on the XTERRA World Tour even better.
