Fisher Farm Trail run on September 1 is open to all runners
The XTERRA Fisher Farm Trail Run on September 1 will serve as the 2012 season finale for the XTERRA North Carolina Trail Run Series.
The race is open to runners of all ages and skill levels, and there will be two course options - a 10-mile long course and a 5-mile short course. The race will take place along the picturesque trails at Fisher Farm Park in Davidson, North Carolina.
More than 200 runners are expected to participate, including several who are chasing age-group championships for the North Carolina Series. The XTERRA Fisher Farm Trail Run is the third, and final, race in the series.
Points are awarded to the top runners in each age group after every race. At the end of the season, every age-group champion will receive a free entry to represent North Carolina at the 2012 XTERRA Trail Run National Championship at Utah on September 23.
The course at Fisher Farm is considered a relatively flat one, with around 650 feet of elevation gain. However, runners will be treated to numerous twists and turns throughout the course.
Registration is available online CLICK HERE. It is worth noting that the entry fees will rise on August 22.
Every registered runner will receive a dri-fit event shirt and a pint glass. PowerBar will also have representatives at the race to hand out samples and give away prizes.
