New York Series

Making its debut in 2008 is the XTERRA New York Trail Run Series. With three intense, off-road races making up the composition, the series bursts into the XTERRA family. Being known for its extreme, off-the-beaten-path events, XTERRA is making no exceptions when it comes to New York.

Hurley, New York sets the stage for the first two races of the season with the XTERRA Black Bear Hollow Trail Run and the XTERRA Twin Lakes Trail Run. With 8 and 12 kilometers respectively full of root-tripping, mud-slipping paths, runners will navigate their way around ponds, over calve-burning hills and through treacherous tree-lined forests. Located at the Hudson River inside Catskill Park, runners will be rewarded for their grueling efforts with beautiful, scenic views.

New York Trail RunnerWrapping up the 2008 season is the XTERRA Mohonk Preserve Xduro in New Paltz, NY. With its new, half-marathon distance within the 31 miles of exhausting hiking trails, the Xduro will push even the most avid runner to the limits. The Mohonk Preserve covers 6,000 acres of ridged cliffs, winding streams and dense forests creating the ultimate adventure for runners while they immerse themselves alongside the abundant wildlife.

Excited to have the New York Trail Run Series on its schedule, XTERRA promises to give trail running a new meaning to the hundreds of expected participants.
