According to Atlanta resident Chris Wiley, the winner of the past two XTERRA Georgia Series trail runs, race director Tim Schroer at Dirty Spokes Productions “puts on some sweet XTERRA Trail Races.”
“XTERRA races are really a blast. Keep up the good work!” In a recent interview Chris describes XTERRA as having “great events, cool people and really tough courses.”
Part of the “Ditch the City” campaign, athletes are urged to venture out of their urban Atlanta jungle. On the nearby trails just outside the city, athletes will be welcomed by miles of mud-caked, root-lined endurance tests.
With two successful events under his belt, Tim Schroer is hoping to have an undefeated season. After fantastic turnouts with 261 runners at the XTERRA Runnin’ the Rocks 10k and 300 runners at the very first half-marathon distance Xduro at Thrill in the Hills, the only way to go is up. Runners of all ages from 14-69 have traveled from 11 states to compete in the 2008 XTERRA Georgia Trail Run Series. Come join them!
Coming up for the series is the XTERRA Deep South Trail Run on May 31 in Dauset, Georgia. Dauset Trails will play host to 15 kilometers of adrenaline rushing trail runs entangled within the breathtaking woodlands. This will be the final race in the 2008 XTERRA Georgia Series so be sure not to miss out on the fun.
