A special Fire & Ice award will be presented to the male and female - both pro and amateur - with the fastest combined times in the 2009 XTERRA World Championship in Maui and the 2010 XTERRA Winter World Championship in Utah. You can expect some stiff competition in both the men's and women's races as XTERRA racers are notorious for excelling in both hot and cold climates and under all kinds of grueling conditions. XTERRA Winter Worlds is a multisport race combining trail running, ski mountaineering, mountain biking and snoeshoeing at Snowbasin Resort, site of the downhill and Super G events of the 2002 Winter Olympics. The 3-day winter festival will also include individual events in ski mountaineering, snowshoeing and snowboarding.
