Stop by the XTERRA Expo at Ogden's Amphitheater Park (corner 25th and Grant) on Friday the 25th between noon and 4pm for on-site registration.

 

Date: Friday, September 25, 2009 - 4pm start (practice course opens at 2pm)

Owners must show proof of dog's current vaccinations.

All entries will receive a t-shirt, doggie bandana, a "dog tag" medal and John Paul Pet samples.

Grand Prize: John Paul Pet Product Package - Shampoo, Conditioner, Conditioning Spray and a variety of Pet Wipes.

Runner-Up Prizes (3): John Paul Pet 3-Pack (Shampoo, Conditioner, Wipe) - Oatmeal, Tea Tree and Super Bright

 

GOAL FoundationA 20-yard sprint, a speed-crawl through a tunnel, a bounding leap over a 2-foot high block, a hairpin turn into a set of mixed sized step-overs, another cutting turn to a teeter-totter, up, over, one last jump, then a 15-yard sprint to the finish. This is the XTERRA K9 Challenge, presented by John Paul Pet - a timed race with owner-dog teams competing against the clock on a combined trail run obstacle course. Completing the challenge will take anywhere from 20 seconds to one minute, and it's not limited to highly trained or specialized dogs so all are welcome to participate in this "made for fun" event. It's all part of the XTERRA Utah Festival. No training or certification is necessary, but owners must show proof of dog's current vaccinations. Bring your family and your pet and give it a go. And don't forget the pooper scoopers.
