Practice makes perfect, it’s true. But perfection can’t always help you when Mother Nature decides to get in your way. The unexpected is always expected in XTERRA. Just ask a veteran racer. They’ve seen it all: a sudden rise in water levels … thunderstorms wash out the trails … or stifling heat moves in on race day. It’s all part of the thrill.

That’s why XTERRA provides so many ways to prepare for and enjoy the sport of off-road multisport. We connect you with top pros who share their wealth of experience at XTERRA University clinics across the nation. There are loads of articles in this section that deal with the unique aspects of our sport. Plus we keep a running schedule of clinics, seminars and group sessions that let you practice what we preach.

EPC XTERRA Group Coaching Program

EPCColorado-based XTERRA pro Cody Waite has been leading the EPC (Endurance Performance Coaching) XTERRA team since 2008, helping dozens of athletes reach their athletic goals, make new friends, and have a whole lot of fun along the way.

He’s at it again, with a finely-tuned program designed to have athletes peak in July for the XTERRA Mountain Championship at Beaver Creek, then recover and rebuild to peak again for the XTERRA USA and World Championships in the fall.

The beauty of the program is in the people.  Cody and his wife Kathy epitomize the laid-back, friendly, helpful, positive vibe that XTERRA is all about.

“I started working with Cody in the fall of 2010, shortly after my first XTERRA.  EPC and Cody helped me to develop a passion for the sport,” said Brent Bieshaar.  “EPC is like a family.  We train together, travel together and hang out.  It has been a blessing to have found and be involved with EPC.  One of the best things is when you show up to a race and there are a dozen people wearing the same kit.  You know that you will have so much support along the race course.  I can’t say enough good things about the program. I’m lucky to be associated with them.”
