The Richmond Regional Ride Center is the only XTERRA race site nominated for a Bell Trails Grant. Already host to some of the most technical trails on the XTERRA circuit, this project will seek to rehabilitate 15 miles of existing mountain bike trail and construct an additional 20 miles of trail. The goal is to incorporate approximately 15 miles of stacked-loop singletrack, and an additional 5 miles of flow trail which will focus on a progression of difficulty. The project will also focus on improving the existing trails on-site in order to diversify the trails and improve the overall depth of experience within the system. In addition to these singletrack trails, the project seeks to develop a new gateway trail with two loops suitable for novices, children, handcycles, and bicycles pulling child-trailers. Once finished, the variety and sheer volume of trails will make Richmond a destination riding and racing site that combines the best of Southern hospitality with endless opportunities to explore - all within 30 minutes of the airport.

Oak Mountain

The 2013-2014 XTERRA SoCal Trail Run Series finale is this Saturday, May 17, at scenic Malibu Creek State Park in Calabasas.

“This is the Grand Mama event - the 22k goes up Bulldog (oh so fun), but what follows is some of the most amazing scenery in Malibu,” explains series director Brennan Lindner.  “The 6k is a great introductory trail run with single track and fireroad trails.”

The XTERRA SoCal Trail Run Series has a simple formula for its success – great trails, great runners and great weather. That combination has made the SoCal Series the largest and most popular series on the XTERRA Trail Run circuit.
