Press and Media CenterThe Trophy of All Trophies, by Luck Stone
The presenting sponsor of the XTERRA East Championship used that expertise to craft something special - a truly unique trophy that will be presented to the winners of all the weekend events including the XTERRA Fugitive 10k trail run, the XTERRA Richmond 21k race, the XTERRA sport off-road tri, and the XTERRA East Championship. Luck Stone designed, cut, and welded this gem all in house. Courtney Simons was the team leader, and she put serious meaning and soul into this rock. The granite is called Virginia Mist – reminiscent of the geographical location of the XTERRA East Championship. The three steel bars supporting the top of the XTERRA logo signify each leg of the race, as well as the number 13 in Roman numerals (XIII) symbolic of the 13th annual event. The length of each leg of the race inspired the structural dimensions. Spacing between the steel legs was measured to .6 of an inch symbolic of .6 mile swim, it’s seven inches tall symbolic of the seven mile run, and sits 12 inches wide + 7 inches tall equaling 19 inches symbolic of the 19-mile bike. The date and location were sandblasted on the top of the XTERRA logo, and the Luck Stone logo was sandblasted to the top right corner. Race fast this weekend in Richmond and its yours to cherish for life. |
