XTERRA Northeast Cup Amateur Champs



While Nico Lebrun and Renata Bucher won the pro titles at the XTERRA Northeast Cup at Sugarbush Resort in Vermont on Sunday there were 26 amateur athletes who earned their spot on the starting line of the XTERRA World Championship on Oct. 25.  Below is a list of the age group champs as well as those who qualified for Maui.

MELRAD SQUAD WINS TEAM COMP IN VT

The Melrad Racing Team took home top honors in the team competition at the Northeast Cup with all five members (four scores counted)  winning their respective age division - Kristoffer Nielsen (30-34), Don Kinne (45-49), Greg Seaman (50-54), Heather McNamaara (45-49), and Keri Grosse (40-44),

XTERRA SYNRGY CAMP AUGUST 7-8-9

Just a few spots remain for the XTERRA SNRGY CAMP 
August 7th, 8th & 9th in Crested Butte, Colorado.  The high altitude 4-day camp is USAT Sanctioned and includes:

    * Thursday: HAP LAB Sports Science Testing: Lactate Thresh-hold and VO2 Max and discussion on utilizing information in your training.
    * Friday: Open Water Swim Clinic and Technical Mt. Bike skills Session
    * Saturday: Pool Swim Technique and Mechanics and Trail Run Skills/ Drills Session
    * Sunday: Open Water Swim + Crested Butte Mt. Bike Ride

PHILLY TRAIL RUN CHALLENGE

XTERRA is throwing out a challenge to all Philadelphia area triathletes to race for bragging rights as Philly's fastest male and female triathlete trail runner at the XTERRA Bear Creek 10K on Sunday morning (July 19) - held in conjunction with the XTERRA Bear Creek Xduro (21k).  XTERRA Gear has donated a watch and a backpack that will be given to the winners. FEBBRARO, COUTINHO WIN XTERRA EX2

A pair of long-time XTERRA ambassadors, Frank Febbraro and Kathy Coutinho, took home the top honors at the XTERRA EX2 off-road triathlon in Flintstone, MD Sunday.  Complete results.

JABLONSKI, KRAUS WIN VASHON ISLAND

Former XTERRA Amateur World Champ Jason Jablonski and XTERRA Eco Team rep Yvonne Kraus won the XTERRA Vashon Island off-road tri in Washington on Sunday.  Complete results.
