THREE TELLY'S FOR TEAM TV

Three nationally syndicated television shows produced by TEAM TV featuring a wide-range of outdoor adventures from around Utah and Nevada won Telly Awards for production excellence in the 30th annual Telly Awards competition.

The recognized productions include two half-hour “XTERRA Adventures from Utah” features and the one-hour Land Rover G4 Challenge Nevada Passage adventure competition show.  Each of the three won a Bronze Telly in the Sports category.

Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest in video and film productions.  The Telly Awards received in excess of 13,000 entries this year from all 50 states and countries around the world.

Over the past 20 years TEAM TV has produced 300 adventure travel themed television shows resulting in three Emmy’s and 42 Telly Awards for production excellence.  XTERRA also operates its own 24/7 web TV network at www.xterra.tv where you can clips from a variety of TEAM TV productions.

GU SIGNS THE CAVEMAN

Conrad "the Caveman" Stoltz, a three-time XTERRA World Champion, has made GU his exclusive sports nutrition supplier.

"GU products are universally known as essential gear in the endurance racing community.  I've been exposed to the brand throughout my XTERRA experience, and am thrilled to join the GU team in an official capacity," said Stoltz.

GU Energy Gel has been a loyal sponsor of XTERRA  off-road triathlons, trail running races, and the XTERRA Winter World Championship (GU won't freeze!) for years.

BOBBY AND J-DAWG...

Two of the most inspirational XTERRA athletes of all-time are teaming up to help each other next month.  The good guys at Total Body Fitness are hosting a special screening of the new film by Poison Oak Productions called "The Way Bobby Sees It" - a gripping documentary about Bobby McMullen - at the Basic in Roseville, CA at 6pm on March 28th.  See a clip here.

The screening will be free as a fund raising event for cancer-stricken XTERRA star Jamie Whitmore to the first 100 RSVPs (because of limited space).  Both "J-Dawg" and Bobby McMullen - who will forever be remembered by the XTERRA community for his heroic feat at the XTERRA World Championship race a few years back when he became the first legally blind athlete to conquer the grueling challenge - will be on hand to sign autographs and "talk story."

To reserve a spot email Bill Driskill at bill@totalbodyfitness.com and you can send your well wishes and contributions to Jamie anytime at www.jamiewhitmore.com.
