XTERRA Gear Forges Deal with Cannondale

THIS WEEK:  Just as major league baseball teams head into winter meetings looking for starting pitching or big bats to improve their club, so too is XTERRA on the move in the marketplace - making deals that will improve the quality of its product and build XTERRA into a recognized and respected lifestyle sports brand.

In this relentless pursuit XTERRA is pleased to announce a few recent signings, highlighted by a deal forged with Cannondale to become the official designers, manufacturers and distributors of XTERRA Gear beginning in mid-2006.

Also joining the XTERRA Team is PacWest Athletics - who will produce XTERRA Camps and an XTERRA Scramble Trail Run in San Rafael, California next year.

POWERED BY CANNONDALE:  In a monumental move for XTERRA Gear the company has joined forces with Cannondale - a cycling and apparel industry giant.
"This is a very big move for XTERRA, as it will give us an elevated presence at the retail level of stores with a host of exceptional products," said Tom Kiely, the CEO of TEAM Unlimited - owners and producers of XTERRA.

The initial plan is for Cannondale to produce XTERRA Gear branded tech wear, active wear, sports wear, mountain bikes, and a wide range of accessories.

XTERRA Gear powered by Cannondale will be promoted and sold through retail stores worldwide and through existing XTERRA Global Tour outlets.
Cannondale was recently lauded by Time Magazine (November 14, 2005) for its innovation in using carbon in garments to keep bodies cool in the heat and warm in the cold.  Read more about it here.

The new venture promises quality and cutting edge apparel for outdoor enthusiasts across the globe.

PACWEST:  In Northern California XTERRA has joined forces with PacWest Athletics - a "fitness lifestyle" organization providing comprehensive multisport endurance training to Bay Area athletes.  PacWest will host a pair of XTERRA Training Camps in San Rafael (Feb. 11-12 and May 27-28) and an XTERRA Scramble Trail Run on August 6.  Several notable XTERRA athletes, highlighted by Kim Ligman (who was named one of America's 100 best Trainers in the December issue of Men's Journal) will assure a genuine off-road experience.

TRITOURS:  Longtime XTERRA competitor and renowned traveler Devyani Kamdar is launching her own tour company, TriTours, that will be marketing and operating personalized tours to various events for the purpose of traveling, touring, training and competing in relation to triathlon events in beautiful destinations.  Among her product offerings, TriTours will adventure to some of the most exotic spots on the XTERRA Global Tour.  Details on 2006 tours will be available soon on xterraplanet.com.

XTERRA TV:  The 2005 Nissan Xterra USA Championship show continues its run in national syndication with airings across the country this week.
