XTERRA Heads to Hargus Lake for Next Ohio Race

RACE #2 IN THE 2010 XTERRA OHIO TRAIL RUN SERIES

The XTERRA Ohio Trail Run Series heads to Circleville on May 22nd for the XTERRA Hargus Lake Trail Run. This inaugural 7-kilometer off-road adventure is the only trail race in south central Ohio and features a variety of obstacles including several bridge crossings, numerous stair climbs, and shallow creek crossings. Athletes of all levels are encouraged to compete, especially beginners who are looking for their first trail run experience.

The XTERRA Hargus Lake Trail Run acts as the second of five races in the XTERRA Ohio Trail Run Series, and top runners in each age group will be rewarded with points toward their season totals. Those with the highest scores after the final race will be crowned XTERRA Ohio Regional Champions and given free entry into the XTERRA Trail Running National Championship on September 18th in Bend, Oregon.

Then on December 5th, Buckeye runners are invited to race at the XTERRA Trail Running World Championship at the Hawaiian island of Oahu’s Kualoa Ranch. As the site of major productions like Jurassic Park, Godzilla and LOST, this is one event runners will not want to miss.

But first, the XTERRA Ohio Trail Run Series kicks off with the XTERRA Vulture’s Knob Trail Run taking place this Saturday, April 24th in Wooster for this season’s first race. For more information about the 2010 XTERRA Trail Run Series, visit www.xterratrailrun.com.
