Tell us something we should know about you: I'm writing a children's book for special needs kids and children with abuse issues.  Funny, winter sports are actually what I am good at! XTERRA and endurance sports are really hard for me…so I love the challenge it brings!

Open forum: One of the greatest honors in my racing career was receiving the 2009 Ms. XTERRA award. Since retiring from swimming after my husband and I attended the 2000 Olympic Trials and he was diagnosed with cancer, I was lost with what to do with my adventurous spirit, need to travel and race and my love for meeting new people. XTERRA has given me a family of wonderful people all over the world, a sport which challenges me in many ways and a spirit which fulfills my love for adventure and travel and mountain sports. I was raised in the mountains and that's where I find my most happy moments in life…XTERRA is a huge part of this.
