XTERRA Opens in Oregon with Dirt Dash

RACE #1 IN THE XTERRA OREGON TRAIL RUN SERIES

XTERRA off-road running explodes into Oregon March 30th with the XTERRA Dirt Dash Trail Run 8k at Hagg Lake.

From the Sain Creek Pavilion, XTERRA is daring runners to come out and prove they have the skill and courage to take on five miles of rocky, dirt-filled, root-lined terrain. With Oregon having its share of uncertain weather, athletes better be ready for a variety of conditions anywhere from a pristine, sun-filled run to an all-out, slippery mud- fest. 

The first of three races in the 2008 XTERRA Oregon Series, runners will be gunning to start their series total with top points. The stakes are high as top finishers in the series earn free entry to the XTERRA Trail Running National Championship on September 27 in Bend, OR and from there have the chance to compete in the XTERRA Trail Running World Championship December 7th in Hawaii.
