XTERRA Oconee Heritage Park Trail Run

Half Marathon Off-Road Running Race To Benefit USMC Toys For Tots

Farmington, GA – 300 competitors are expected to toe the starting line at 12:00 noon for the XTERRA Oconee Heritage Park Trail Run, slated to take place on Sunday, November 25th.

For those in search of a challenge with a wonderful cause, look no further….

This half-marathon distance (21k) is an adventure of epic proportion – it mixes endurance with Mother Nature's finest elements: jumping over rocks and roots, ducking under trees and stream crossings.  Whether you are running to be first or running to cross the finish line, XTERRA events are meant to bring out the adventure in athletes of all ages and calibers.  In addition to a great workout after a hearty Thanksgiving meal, participants will receive a long-sleeve XTERRA race shirt (while they last) and a finisher medal.

This trail run is under the umbrella of the XTERRA Trail Run series, getting individuals off the couch and on the trails from coast to coast.  In 2007 Georgia had two XTERRA Trail Runs and in 2008, we expect to have five!

Beneficiary: Just in time for the holiday gift-giving season, proceeds from the event benefit the US Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign. Entrants (and spectators too!) are asked to bring one unwrapped toy as well.
