Guam triathlete Keenan Tydingco will make his way to the island of Maui  next week to compete in the Nissan Xterra World Championship on Oct. 23.

This notoriously unforgiving off-road triathlon will feature Olympians Conrad Stoltz and Olivier Marceau and 400 of some of the best age-group triathletes in the world. Tydingco is a 16-year-old junior at Father Duenas Memorial School, and  has competed in triathlon since he was 12. He recently represented Guam at  the Mini South Pacific Games in Palau, where he was the top finisher for  Guam. Tydingco will compete in the Nissan Xterra World Championship for the  second time, but it will be his first time as a true qualifier. full article blt_2.gif
