The sport of XTERRA was born on Maui in 1996, and after 15 years on Maui’s south shore, the XTERRA World Championship is headed north to the Kapalua Resort, which will serve as base camp for off-road triathlon’s greatest day on October 23, 2011.
The opportunity arose when the Maui Land & Pineapple Company graciously welcomed XTERRA to play in its 22,000 acre backyard which stretches from the mountains to the sea, and encompasses verdant rainforests, and a network of trails. A pair of the finest hoteliers in the world will host competitors. Race headquarters will be at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, with Outrigger Hotels & Resorts’ Maui Condominium Collection properties as a co-host.

Bike Waivers
XTERRA World Championship competitor bikes travel FREE on Hawaiian Airlines. Maui must be your destination (sorry, we can't do Kona as a destination). Only registered competitors may receive a bike waiver and you must book your travel by October 13. Code shares with other airlines are not included - you must travel on Hawaiian Airlines.

Book your Hawaiian Airlines flight (interisland or mainland U.S) direct to Maui by October 13. Use the Book Now button above.
After purchasing your Hawaiian Airlines flight email your 6 letter Hawaiian Airlines confirmation code to info@xterraplanet.com.
We will confirm via email that your bike is waivered. If you do not receive a confirmation, your bike will not travel free.
Remember you must make your booking and send us email no later than October 13.

KAPALUA RESORT SHUTTLE
The Kapalua Resort Shuttle provides complimentary transportation to and from the West Maui Airport. The shuttle will also take you between any two points within the resort. Simply call the shuttle service center at 808-665-9110 and a shuttle will be dispatched as soon as possible.
