PERSONAL: Born January 17, 1981.

XTERRA EXPERIENCE: Third year, seventh race. Won XTERRA Austria in his first ever XTERRA in 2008.

RACING ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Finished 32nd in the 2004 Olympics cross-country mountain bike race while representing Austria. Had the fastest bike split and placed second at Ironman 70.3 Monaco last year. 2008: Won XTERRA Austria and was second by just 34 seconds at the XTERRA World Championship. LAST YEAR: Placed 6th at XTERRA Italy, 3rd at XTERRA Czech Championship, and 3rd at XTERRA Worlds. THIS YEAR: Won Ironman St. George in Utah, and placed 13th at the Ironman Hawaii World Championship while posted the second fastest bike split. This will be first XTERRA of 2010.
