Richard Ussher - Nelson, New Zealand - 2009 XTERRA New Zealand Champion

PERSONAL: Born June 19, 1976.
XTERRA EXPERIENCE: Third race, won the 2009 XTERRA New Zealand Championship in his first XTERRA. RACING ACCOMPLISHMENTS: World Adventure Racing Champion in 2005 and 2006 among many AR titles, competed at the 1998 Winter Olympics men’s moguls in Japan (finished 25th), placed third at the Quelle Challenge Roth last year where he set the record for the fastest time by a New Zealander over an Iron distance in 8:02:15.

MAUI HISTORY

Tied for the second-best run split and placed 11th overall, despite having to ride the last five miles of the bike without a seat post, in his first-ever Maui attempt.
