XTERRA World Championship

PERSONAL:  Born September 17, 1980...ITU World Cup triathlete, attended Camosun College.

XTERRA EXPERIENCE:  Fourth year

RACING ACCOMPLISHMENTS: 2004 Canadian Olympic Team Member (finished 39th in triathlon event at 2004 Olympic Games in Athen’s).
2005: Finished 2nd in first ever XTERRA at Temecula, was 2nd in Richmond as well, placed 5th in Milwaukee, and was 13th in Tahoe due to mechanicals.  Placed 4th in XTERRA U.S. Pro standings, and was 3rd at Worlds .
2006:  Finished second by just 44 seconds to Olympic gold medalist Hamish Carter at XTERRA New Zealand.  Won the first two U.S. races of the season at Temecula, CA and Pelham, AL.  Finished 2nd to Stoltz in Richmond, was 3rd in Milwaukee, 11th at the XTERRA USA Championship and 2nd in the U.S. Pro Series (needed a 7th or better to win Series but was slowed with a flat tire).

LAST YEAR: Had the fastest swim and run splits and finished third overall at XTERRA Worlds, his only XTERRA of the season and first since Maui 2006.
