PERSONAL: Born April 27, 1978.

XTERRA EXPERIENCE: Fifth year, second as a pro. Mieko has been racing XTERRA since 2006 when her last name was Motoyoshi and she won the 25-29 division at XTERRA Saipan. Carey also won the 25-29 title in Saipan in 2007. 2008: Placed second at XTERRA Saipan, and third in the highly competitive 30-34 division at the XTERRA World Championship in Maui in October. LAST YEAR: Placed 4th at XTERRA Saipan, won XTERRA Japan, was 2nd at XTERRA Malaysia, and 18th at XTERRA Worlds. THIS YEAR: Placed 2nd at XTERRA Saipan and won the XTERRA Japan Championship for the second straight year.
