What accomplishment are you most proud of:
Growing my business over the past 5+ years

When you're not racing, you like to:
Mountain Bike, Cook, Read, & Travel

What's the craziest experience you've ever had with XTERRA (traveling, racing or training)?
Travelling to Worlds in 2005, having them loose my bike, then find it, then racing and bonking spectacularly on the run. It was still an absolutely incredible trip though.

What's the best thing about racing?
Learning about myself by pushing beyond my limits.

What is the coolest piece of gear you own?
My legs, I don't know how they keep moving all these years.

What is your favorite quote or words of wisdom?
Waste of time is the most extravagant of all expense. - Theophrastus

Role model/Inspiration/Favorite athlete:
My sister for all the ways she continues to amaze me.

What do you do when you aren't training/racing?
Working on my business, having fun, and spending time with my wife.

Which 2007 XTERRA races do you plan to attend?
ACE Canyon, Richmond, EX2, Appalachia, Charlottesville

Favorite XTERRA venue:
Charlottesville, Walnut Creek Park, killer mtb trails.

Dreaded XTERRA venue:
Odyssey, it was the most brutally rewarding experience, too bad it's gone.

Top 3-8 racing accomplishments:
Any time I cross the finish line is an accomplishment.  Other highlights include competing at Nationals and Worlds and winning my age group a few times.

What's your favorite aspect of XTERRA?
The community and personalities of all the freaks involved. A very eclectic and welcoming group of incredible talented athletes. That and the kick ass courses that are all unique and very challenging.

Define / describe XTERRA:
XTERRA is the constant exploration and redefinition of yourself through repeated cycles of getting knocked down physically and mentally and picking yourself up off the ground, dusting off, and continuing to go like hell.
